An interesting thought to ponder….

I found this on an online forum I often frequent.   It is quite an interesting thought to ponder in the new days of our era of hope and change….

You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out
of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person
must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody
anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When
half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the
other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the
idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what
they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You
cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.”

~~~~~ The late Dr. Adrian Rogers, 1931 – 2005 ~~~~~
“We will not apologize for our way of life, nor will we waver in its defense, and for those who seek to advance their aims by inducing terror and slaughtering innocents, we say to you now that our spirit is stronger and cannot be broken; you cannot outlast us, and we will defeat you. “
A powerful statement from the inaugural address from new President Barack Obama.  I did not vote for this man, but he is now my President.  It was this quote of his that made me take notice for the first time that maybe, just maybe, he has the strength of his beliefs.    I hope he does.  I hope my new President is half as good as he claims to be.
